Wie sou ooit kon dink dat iets soos n hutsteken so effektief kon werk in die promosie van n wyn streek.  Simon van der Stel sou nooit kon dink in die vormings jare van die Eikestad dat dit eendag wêreld beroemd  sou raak nie. Alhoewel dit moet genoem word dat die skone Stellenbosch ook vele te dank het aan die skeppers van die heel eerste wynroetes al terug in die sewentige jare deur Frans Malan van Simomsig onderandere.

 

Dinge het egter varander vanaf daardie vroe jare  tussen die strate van eeu oue geboue en eike bome. Stellenbosch is n vibrante dorp gevul met wereld klas verblyf en vele eet plekkies om elke smaak en sak te pas. Dan kom mens nie eers uit by die menigte gallerye en unieke plekke om te besoek nie.  Die dorp pronk dan ook met kunswerke in vele openbare plekke, ons gunstelling is die dansers net oorkant die die ou ng kerk.

Wat wyn aanbetref skort daar niks. Vanaf die konings van Pinotage  tot die uistekende wyne vanaf Le Riche en Boschkloof. Dan hoe kan mens Stellenbosch noem sonder om te dink aan Delheim, Ken Forrester en Delaire Graff en van die nuwer juwele in die skatkis.

Indien jy jouself dalk in die kontrei mag bevind, vat n  oomblik en verken van die vele verassings wat om elke draai vir mens wag. Maak n draai by  Schoon De Companje vroeg dag al vir n koffie. Of maak n draai by die R44 mark. Bitro 13 is n lekker middag ete plekkie. Daar is net te veel om te noem en ons wil nie graag iemand uit los in die post nie.

Wade Bales, hoef ons nog meer te se ?

Nog n jaar het gekom en gegaan. Alhowel ons so effe stil was, het ons onlangs n epos van Wade Bales ontvang saam met n uitnodiging na die Wade Bales Wine and Whisky affair.  Hieronder dan die pers verklaring. Jammer ons weet dit is nie juis in afrikaans nie, maar voel al reeds so skuldig dat ons maande laas iets gepost het. Boonop hou die dag jobie mens verskriklik besig. Ons is besig om die webtuiste bietjie nuwe lewe in te blaas en sal graag idees wil hoor oor n logo ?

Die Wade Bales Wine and Whisky affair naas die Old Mutual, Veritas en CWG is een van die tastings om nie te mis. Ons hoop ons sien jou daar !

Guests can relax and take their time engaging with the winemakers and whisky aficionados, discovering the unique insights into the secrets of the grape as well as the golden dram. A combination of both fine wine and malt whisky under one roof, ensure guests have a sophisticated experience, enhanced by a selection of gourmet cheese, antipasti deli and artisanal breads.
